Version 3.0. I wouldn't call it "incredibly frustrating", but yes, I certainly noticed this issue. I don't think the maps were quite big enough to necessitate a fast travel system, in fact, I think that might even detract from the game. But a simple "call the ship to pick me up" option might've been a nice compromise.

So for anyone else that ran into this extremely weird (and probably rare) glitch in the ps+ Cloud saves, at least for Jedi Fallen Order you MUST have the same SAVE FILE from the ps4 that you got the platinum on. I was hopeful since FFVIIR read your profile instead of the save, but oh well.
PS4 to PS5 save transfer. I completed Fallen Order on PS4 last year. I fancied giving it another go on my PS5 so I've transferred my save over which has allowed me to start a New Journey+, and all trophies have reset as it does with most games with the PS5 upgrade. I figured I'd be able to grab them all on the New Journey+ save.
Given RDRs serious performance issues, I'll be getting Jedi instead. Also origin premier is a 15 dollar subscription to try the game out. So I dont know where it is that I'm buying the full game a second time.
